Cocina Studio is a creative practice founded by Hernán De Majo and Renata Brenha, bringing together food, fashion and other creative disciplines.
Based in London Fields, the studio develops dinners, events and collaborative projects shaped by the people and ideas around them.
Cocina’s food is rooted in South American flavours and developed seasonally with British produce.
Menus are entirely plant-based, with an approach to cooking that is generous, direct and led by the ingredients.
Food sits at the centre of Cocina, but rarely on its own. Each project considers the wider experience around the table, from the menu and drinks to the setting, objects and the way food is presented and shared.
Cocina was a finalist of the Young British Food Awards in 2018 and published its first book, Project 1, in 2020, bringing together food, fashion and photography and launching at The Photographers’ Gallery in London.
Its work has included supper clubs, dinners, exhibitions and collaborations with artists, designers, chefs, food producers and other creative practices across the UK, Ireland, France, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico.
